We see leadership as the ability to effect positive change, to turn ideas into realities. Our core insight is that leadership skills and mindset lead to better lives, for oneself and for others. The objective of our workshops is to empower our students to lead.
What do we mean by leadership skills and mindset?
7Cs Framework of Leadership
Leadership skills refer to Critical Thinking, Communication, Creativity, and Collaboration, the four 21st Century Skills identified by the National Education Association. We have a deep appreciation for these skills through our own professional experiences. They lead to excellence and they drive innovation.
Leadership mindset refers to Confidence, Compassion, and Consciousness. They relate to our emotional energies, our awareness and inner strengths. Our ability to pursue our mission and passion in life often starts with confidence in ourselves and compassion towards others. When we grasp our consciousness, we can approach complex problems, thorny relationships, and tough decisions with a much deeper level of understanding. We can achieve our inner peace and freedom.
Leadership skills and leadership mindset (‘7Cs”) are not separate domains. In fact they support, energize, elevate, and reinforce one another. As a result, their compounded effects can truly transform lives.
Why should you consider joining 7Cs Leadership?
If any of the following sounds like you, we’re here to help.
My writing doesn’t feel powerful or interesting. I don’t know what to write about.
I hate speaking in public. I get so nervous and it totally shows.
Student leadership sounds exciting but really hard. Maybe I’m just not a leader.
I like to learn about what companies do and how the stock market works, but it feels too complicated. I don’t know where to start.
I don’t know how to prepare for the future except for trying to get good grades and to get into a good college.
I hear the phrase “Be yourself” all the time, but I don’t know who I am, what my passion is, how I should choose my own path, and what it takes to be the best version of myself.
What is special about 7Cs Leadership?
Leadership skills and inner strengths are very hard to teach. Addressing that challenge has been the sole focus of our research and innovation. What fuels our passion is our deep conviction in the transformative power of leadership skills and inner strengths.
We offer a different kind of learning experience.
Skill building is integrated with self-discovery. Each workshop delivered tangible near-term results while cultivating intangibles critical in the long-run.
Each student gets individualized attention while enjoying the benefits of learning and practicing their skills in a group.
Grades are replaced by open sharing of ideas and work. There is no grade pressure but the joy of learning and of improving oneself.
We craft every piece of the learning teaching process, from the topics we choose, the materials and activities we design, to the feedback we provide. Here are select insights we’ve developed that we actively incorporate into our teaching:
Know-hows matter, but understanding each student matters even more and the key is to deliver well-tailored advice in an energetic and compassionate way.
Bullet points are necessary but they can get boring. Always try to create activities and projects through which students can digest concepts and build skills.
Mixed-age classrooms reduce competitive pressure and support the learning of good listening. The workplace consists of people of difference ages and skills.
Some of our students have been attending our workshops continuously since we started. The vast majority have participated in multiple workshops. We put our students in the center and, taking our decades of professional experiences, we create workshops that impart to our students what we wish we had learnt in our adolescent years.
